Accounts Assistant / Accounts Executive


Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant / Accounts Executive to join a wholesale organisation based at Pandan Loop. This is a permanent, full-time position with fixed weekday hours from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm, offering a basic salary of up to $5,000 with variable bonus. The role provides a stable work schedule and broad exposure across core accounting functions within a structured finance team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Process supplier invoices by matching PO/GRN, prepare payment runs, and respond to vendor enquiries.
  • Issue customer invoices and credit notes, record receipts, and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Post journal entries, manage accruals and prepayments, and ensure bank reconciliations are kept up to date.
  • Check transactions for compliance with company policies, apply correct accounting codes, and prepare staff reimbursement payments.
  • Assist with the preparation of schedules, review the trial balance, draft simple variance explanations, and support required filings.
  • Maintain organised filing systems and update vendor and customer master data accurately.
  • Comply with finance SOPs, internal controls, and tax/GST requirements, and provide support during audits when required.
  • Prepare standard accounting reports and assist with ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Liaise with internal teams, vendors, customers, and banks to resolve accounting or payment-related issues promptly.
  • Use accounting systems and spreadsheets effectively, and support basic process improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers via messaging applications when required.
  • Perform other ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

What We’re Looking For

  • A Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent qualification, with LCCI or ACCA foundation considered an advantage.
  • One to two years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
  • Strong numerical ability with good attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software or systems.
