Business Development Manager


Job Description

Adecco is partnering with a well-established organisation within the contract logistics and supply chain sector to hire a Business Development Manager to join their business.


This role sits within a regional commercial function and focuses primarily on growing and managing existing key accounts, while supporting new business opportunities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver customised logistics solutions for enterprise clients across healthcare, aviation, or defence-related sectors.



Role Details:


Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

Location: West Region

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5:30pm

Salary Package: Basic + AWS + Variable Bonus (No commissions)


The Job:


Manage and grow strategic customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities within the portfolio (either healthcare, aviation, or defence)

Lead end-to-end sales cycles, including RFQ/RFP submissions, proposal development, and commercial negotiations

Work closely with internal stakeholders (operations, finance, engineering) to design and deliver logistics solutions

Develop pricing strategies and ensure commercial viability of proposals

Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities across target industries

Engage with senior stakeholders and represent the organisation in client discussions


The Talent:


Degree-qualified with several years of experience in business development or commercial roles

Prior experience in logistics or supply chain environments, preferably within healthcare, aviation, or defence-related sectors

Exposure to solution-based selling and structured proposals or tenders will be advantageous

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
