JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
(1) Financial Accounting & Management Accounting.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements.
• Prepare management accounting reports (PL/ BS/ CF, departmental analysis, etc.).
• Prepare management reports for senior leadership (in both English and Japanese).
(2) Budgeting & Forecasting
• Support the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Coordinate with internal departments for data collection and analysis.
• Support the operation of the new Budget/ Forecast platform.
(3) Taxation
• Support corporate tax and GST filings.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Organise and report tax-related matters for group companies.
• Support work related to Pillar 2 (Global Minimum Tax) compliance.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining transfer pricing documentation (TP documentation).
(4) Consolidation Reporting (Japan HQ)
• Prepare consolidation reporting packages for the Japan headquarters (IKC).
• Assist in preparing adjustment entries based on HQ accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
• Respond to inquiries from HQ (in Japanese/English).
• Prepare consolidation schedules (fixed assets, inventory, tax, cash flow, etc.)
• Ensure data consistency with related entities.
• Support audit-related tasks as required.
(5) Intercompany Financing Operations
• Support intercompany financing transactions, including loan arrangements, settlements, and cash management between IAP and related companies.
• Monitor repayment schedules and ensure accuracy of interest calculations.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of financing operations.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies.
(6) Communication with Japan Headquarters
• Prepare emails, documents, and reports in Japanese.
• Coordinate with HQ teams (Accounting, Tax, Corporate Planning).
• Participate in meetings conducted in Japanese and prepare minutes.
• Handle inquiries related to consolidation reporting and intercompany transactions.
(7) Communication with Japanese Banks
• Handle communication with Japanese banks in Japanese (loans, account management, contracts).
• Prepare and explain required documents as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualifications preferably in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or other finance-related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting in a corporate environment.
• Knowledge in financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, transfer pricing or international tax matters, basic knowledge of consolidation accounting is an advantage.
• Understanding of intercompany financing concepts is preferred.
• Basic understanding of compliance requirements related to finance and accounting operations.
• Experience in ERP system, SAP is preferred and familiar with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, basic functions) and PowerPoint (presentation preparation).
