The Job:
Monitor and plan cargo space allocation for shipments to maximize operational efficiency and load utilization.
Follow up closely on freight status and ensure timely updates are communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
Liaise with airlines on freight rates, shipment tracking, bookings, and operational enquiries.
Create, maintain, and review buying and selling rates with customers and carriers.
Ensure all shipments are completed and uplifted on time according to agreed service levels and rates.
Prepare progress reports, shipment analysis, and profit & loss reports for internal teams and stakeholders.
Handle RFQs and tender submissions accurately and within timelines.
Coordinate with the Sales team on customer enquiries and provide effective logistics solutions.
Maintain strong knowledge of airline and customer buying/selling rates to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
Plan and manage bumped or rollover shipments for consolidation arrangements.
Perform shipment bookings with various carriers and airlines.
Coordinate closely with Customer Service and Warehouse teams to ensure timely cargo readiness and shipment uplift.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, operational procedures, and customer requirements.
The Talent:
Minimum 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, airfreight, logistics, or related industry.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Good organizational and time management abilities with attention to detail.
Effective communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a busy environment and manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with airline operations, shipment planning, freight rates, and consolidation processes will be an advantage.
