Join a logistics organization as a Shipping Assistant based in Woodlands, supporting import and export shipment operations in a permanent role. This position offers a basic salary of up to $3,500 plus variable bonus, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm, and Saturday, 9.00am to 12.00pm.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare and manage shipment documents, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, to facilitate customs clearance.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team on import and export shipment readiness, including cargo pick-up arrangements and shipping marks.
- Work with freight forwarders to secure cargo space and arrange shipments.
- Track shipment progress and provide timely follow-ups on delivery status.
- Address shipping-related issues, discrepancies, and operational changes as they arise.
- Process order amendments, cancellations, returns, and exchange requests.
- Provide freight cost information to the sales department when required.
- Review shipping expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures.
