We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a construction and renovation company based in Kaki Bukit. This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday (9.00am – 6.00pm), offering a competitive salary package with AWS and performance bonus. The role supports the Finance Manager in handling daily accounting operations while contributing to financial reporting, vendor management, and compliance with accounting and tax requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
Support the Finance Manager in carrying out day-to-day accounting activities.
Record financial transactions and maintain accurate entries within the general ledger.
Generate and process invoices, bills, purchase orders, and related payment documentation.
Track accounts payable and receivable while addressing and following up on any discrepancies.
Coordinate payments and billing matters with vendors and external service providers.
Review bank transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations.
Compile weekly reports and prepare financial updates for management review.
Assist with cash flow monitoring and support the preparation of annual financial reports.
Provide documentation and information required during audit processes.
Work with tax agents on tax-related matters, including GST submissions to IRAS.
Carry out additional accounting or administrative tasks assigned when required.
What We’re Looking For
Diploma or Degree in Accountancy or a related professional qualification.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting roles.
Familiarity with accounting standards as well as tax and GST regulations.
Experience using computerized accounting systems, with Xero preferred.
