We are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee finance operations for a logistics service organisation based in Tuas, within walking distance from the MRT. This is a permanent position with a Monday to Friday schedule, 8.30am to 5.30pm, offering a competitive basic salary with variable bonus. The role provides an opportunity to lead a finance team, drive improvements, and contribute to strategic business initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, coach, and develop the Finance team to achieve strong performance, accountability, and continuous growth.
- Oversee end-to-end finance and accounting activities covering Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Financial Reporting.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, management accounts, and statutory financial statements accurately and on time.
- Drive the annual budgeting cycle, financial forecasting, and business planning activities while providing insights to support management decisions.
- Analyse financial performance, cash flow, profitability, and key financial indicators to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements.
- Develop and strengthen internal controls, finance policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and protection of company assets.
- Manage treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting, banking arrangements, financing matters, and working capital management.
- Implement finance process enhancements, digitalisation projects, and system improvements to increase efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with external parties such as auditors, tax consultants, banks, government authorities, suppliers, and customers on finance-related matters.
- Oversee statutory audits, tax filings, regulatory submissions, and compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), Companies Act, GST regulations, and other statutory requirements.
- Ensure proper corporate governance, ISO compliance, sustainability reporting, and maintenance of financial records, statutory documents, and business contracts.
- Support business transformation projects, financing initiatives, strategic activities, and other assignments from Management.
What We’re Looking For
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a recognised professional accounting qualification.
- Hold a Chartered Accountant qualification with membership in the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA).
- Have at least 7 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, and audit, including a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position and 3 years of audit experience.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), Companies Act, Income Tax Act, GST regulations, corporate governance, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Possess proven experience in budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, financial reporting, treasury, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
- Have hands-on experience with accounting systems and ERP software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Jet Reports will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities, with the capability to drive process improvements and support strategic business initiatives.
