Accountant/Assistant Manager/Senior Assistant Manager/Managers, Financial Planning (Costing & Business Partnering)
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate the hospital's National Costing Exercise (NCE) and other costing-related submissions to ensure compliance with national costing guidelines and reporting requirements.
• Serve as a Finance Business Partner to clinical and operational stakeholders, providing financial insights and support for decision-making.
• Perform costing, pricing, and financial analysis for healthcare services, programmes, and initiatives.
• Support the evaluation of the financial viability of capital expenditure requests, business cases, and strategic projects.
• Manage and maintain the hospital's SAP Controlling (CO) master data and costing-related configurations to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Partner with IT consultants and vendors in the implementation, enhancement, testing, and yearly maintenance of the hospital's costing systems.
• Analyse cost drivers, utilisation trends, and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement and value creation.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and other finance-related initiatives as assigned.
Job Requirement
• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in costing, pricing, SAP, or business partnering would be advantageous.
• Experience working with large datasets, financial models, and system implementation projects is preferred.
Role 2: Asst Manager, Financial Accounting/ Planning
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and supervise budget roll-up. Data analytic support for periodic financial budgeting and reporting including analysis of workload and patient mix to revenue and subvention, trending and variance analysis of budget against actuals, etc.
Evaluate OPEX spending and capital investment requests. Review and evaluate business cases and projects for risks and opportunities.
Reviews internal processes, systems, policies and procedures and put in recommendations to ensure business risks are minimized. Work on multi-discipline/departments collaborations and initiatives to drive process improvements and controls.
Engage internal and external stakeholders to build collaborative relationships and ensure alignment with the strategic objectives of the Institution. Provide financial planning support and financial advice to cost centres/departments.
Plan, drive and manage quality improvement projects at Hospital-wide/Departmental level as well as provide active support for staff training and equipping.
Be a change agent and inculcate mindset change for Hospital-wide/Departmental level initiatives and establish a working environment of collegiality and effective teamwork.
Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirement
• Degree in Accountancy/profession accounting qualifications (e.g. Chartered Accountant) or degree in Business Administration (major in Accountancy or Finance) or equivalent
