The Opportunity:
Our client is a global telecommunications and network infrastructure provider seeking a Network Operation Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, and implementation of critical transmission and submarine cable network infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy hands-on technical work and network operations.
The Job:
Operate and maintain transmission and network systems including DWDM, SDH, Ethernet, and IP/MPLS equipment.
Troubleshoot network faults and support incident resolution to ensure service availability.
Perform installation, testing, commissioning, and migration of network equipment and circuits.
Support submarine cable maintenance and repair activities.
Maintain network documentation, inventory records, and operational procedures.
Participate in rotational shifts and standby support.
The Talent:
Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 1-5 years of relevant experience in telecommunications, transmission networks, network operations, or data centre environments.
Hands-on experience with fibre, transmission, or carrier-grade network equipment.
Exposure to DWDM, SDH, Ethernet, IP/MPLS, OTDR, or submarine cable systems would be advantageous.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable with field-based work, shift duties, and standby support.
