About the Opportunity
Adecco is partnering with an early-stage company to identify an Accountant with a strong foundation in accounting and local statutory reporting to join its growing team.
As the Accountant, you will play a key role in managing the company's accounting and statutory reporting requirements, working closely with the Group Head of Finance based in India.
The Job
Take ownership of the full set of accounts for the Singapore entity, covering AP, AR, GL, and GST compliance and submissions.
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate management and financial reporting.
Act as the key finance contact in Singapore, working closely with the Head of Finance in India to establish and streamline local finance processes.
Liaise with Singapore banks to set up banking facilities, accounts, and related finance processes as the company establishes its local operations.
Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheet and profit & loss reports, and support budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting activities.
Take ownership of the audit process, including preparation of audit schedules and coordination with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate service providers.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and smooth day-to-day finance operations in Singapore.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or candidate with ACCA/CA/CPA/ACCA/ICAEW.
More than 5 years of relevant accounting experience in Singapore.
Able to communicate in Hindi/Tamil to work with counterpart based in India.
