Senior Manager, Finance
Our client is looking for a Finance Professional to lead finance, accounting, tax, planning, transformation initiatives, and regional finance support across Asia.
Responsibilities
Act as a strategic business partner to regional business leaders and finance teams, providing commercial insights beyond traditional finance and accounting functions.
Drive and implement finance transformation initiatives aligned with the organization's regional and long-term strategic objectives.
Establish, enhance, and standardize finance policies, governance frameworks, and internal controls to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Collaborate with global finance stakeholders to align financial strategies, programs, and policies with business requirements.
Lead corporate finance activities including acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, divestments, business restructuring, and redeployment projects.
Oversee finance operations encompassing accounting, treasury, controllership, and order management functions while ensuring effective risk management.
Review and evaluate financial statements, management reports, and financial processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance reporting activities across the region.
Manage year-end audits, impairment assessments, statutory reporting requirements, and external auditor engagements.
Develop and implement tax strategies while ensuring compliance with corporate tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing, and other regulatory requirements.
Oversee treasury functions including cash flow management, foreign exchange exposure, funding, debt management, capital allocation, and financial risk mitigation.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations for investment decisions, including financial modelling, due diligence, industry evaluation, and investment frameworks.
Drive continuous improvements in finance processes, controls, and systems to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams, strengthening finance capabilities across the region.
Support strategic business initiatives and undertake additional value-added projects as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
Minimum 15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including tax, financial planning, and strategic finance leadership.
At least 5 years of APAC regional experience within multinational organizations would be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, governance, internal controls, treasury, and tax regulations.
Proven experience managing M&A, joint ventures, divestments, business restructuring, or transformation projects.
Strong leadership and people management experience, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
Experience within the manufacturing, industrial, engineering, machinery, or related sectors would be highly advantageous.
Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and analytical capabilities.
