Sales Engineer (B2B Sales | Industrial Automation)

Location : Bukit Batok, Singapore

Working hours : 5-day work week | Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6:00pm

Salary (commensurate with experience) : Up to $5,500 Basic + Company Quarterly Incentive + Variable Bonus (1–3 months, depending on company performance) + 14 Days Annual Leave

About the Role

Our client, an automation solutions provider, is seeking a commercially driven Sales Engineer with an engineering educational background and proven sales or business development experience.

This position combines technical knowledge with customer engagement, new business development and solution-based selling.

Candidates must possess BOTH an engineering Diploma or Degree AND relevant sales or business development experience.

Responsibilities:

Identify, prospect and develop new B2B customers to expand the company’s market presence and sales pipeline.

Drive business development through cold calling, customer visits, networking and follow-ups with prospective clients.

Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, identifying opportunities for repeat business and account growth.

Understand customers’ technical requirements and recommend suitable automation products and engineering solutions.

Prepare and present technical quotations, commercial proposals and product recommendations.

Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, trials and proof-of-concept activities to support customer acquisition.

Negotiate commercial terms, follow up on sales opportunities and close deals to achieve assigned sales targets.

Work closely with internal technical teams to develop appropriate solutions for customer applications.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering or another directly relevant engineering discipline.

Minimum 1 year of actual sales or business development experience, preferably involving B2B customers.

Experience in customer prospecting, developing sales opportunities, managing business accounts or closing commercial deals.

Comfortable conducting business development activities and engaging customers on both technical and commercial requirements.

Additional Advantages:

Experience selling engineering products, industrial equipment, automation solutions, control systems or other technical products.

Previous exposure to manufacturing, industrial automation or related engineering industries.

Experience preparing technical quotations or conducting product demonstrations.

Valid Class 3 driving licence.
