Business Development Engineer - Civil Engineering


Job Description

The Engineer will take a proactive role in driving product specifications with key Engineering Consultants and serve as a strong partner to the Commercial Team in advancing the business of fixing system solutions. You will be responsible for delivering technical presentations and seminars, offering engineered design solutions, and conducting installation demonstrations and training sessions for external engineering professionals and end users.



The client is a European global leader in the development and provision of innovative solutions for plugs, construction kits, car interior components, process consulting, and electronic systems. The company operates 5 business divisions worldwide-fixing systems, automotive systems, construction systems, consulting, and electronic solutions.


The Job


Present and communicate the value of our product solutions to customers, with a focus on increasing market share in key projects and establishing a strong market presence.

Provide sales and after-sales support, including design calculations, installation demonstrations, and training, while delivering tailored engineered solutions to key customers.

Develop and deliver technical presentations that clearly outline the benefits and value of our products and services to architects, consultants, and contractors.

Manage the process of obtaining and maintaining all necessary local approvals required for selling products in various projects across Singapore (e.g., HDB, SCDF).

Coordinate with the head office to ensure effective system implementation, provide updates on standards and processes, and manage technical materials.

The Talent


Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a reputable university or equivalent, with at least 1 year of work experience in the construction industry.

Prior experience in structural design and/or construction site supervision is a plus. (Alternatively, a Diploma with 3 years of relevant experience.)

Demonstrate the ability to contribute to the overall strategic direction, working independently as well as collaboratively with the commercial team and relevant headquarter functions.

Comfortable presenting to large audiences and able to clearly convey the value of product solutions.

Possess a strong commercial mindset, excellent communication skills, a target-oriented approach, and intercultural sensitivity.

Uphold high personal and professional standards of ethics and integrity.
