This is a 6-month contract - renewable! Onsite at CBD area, Singapore
This role delivers tactical, end?to?end procurement execution for critical environment categories across APAC, with occasional support for global initiatives and will collaborate with category leads, supplier managers, engineering teams, and legal partners to run sourcing events, evaluate bids, manage clarifications, and support contract negotiations at speed.
Responsibilities
Lead sourcing activities including RFPs, tender evaluations, and change orders, working closely with category managers and stakeholders.
Manage the full tender cycle: prepare documentation, launch events via e?sourcing platforms, coordinate bidder communications, and oversee timelines.
Track and respond to supplier queries, liaising with engineering experts to provide clear, accurate market responses.
Assess supplier proposals for commercial and compliance fit, supporting recommendations with category managers and stakeholders.
Assist in negotiations covering clarifications, pricing, and contractual scope alignment.
Partner with Legal to review supplier qualifications, exceptions, and contract terms, progressing redlines to closure.
Align sourcing outcomes with supplier performance strategies in collaboration with SRM partners.
Maintain audit?ready records, approvals, and sourcing documentation in line with procurement governance.
Handle multiple concurrent sourcing projects, including renewals, proactively identifying risks and resolving bottlenecks.
Provide clear updates on progress, risks, and decision points to APAC and global stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
At least 5 years of strategic procurement experience, ideally within data centers or other critical infrastructure industries (mechanical, electrical, fuel, water services).
Proven track record managing end?to?end tender processes, from preparation to contract execution.
Experience in critical environments such as utilities, oil & gas, industrial facilities, or hospitals where uptime and urgency are paramount.
Skilled in engaging technical SMEs and translating requirements into supplier?ready inputs.
Proficiency with e?sourcing platforms (SAP Ariba preferred; similar tools acceptable).
Highly organized, able to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
Experience supporting regional/global category management across multiple geographies.
Familiarity with supplier performance management and integrating SRM insights into sourcing decisions.
Background in contracting with complex suppliers, including handling exceptions and non?standard terms.
Ability to quickly ramp into a heavy sourcing pipeline and deliver results on accelerated timelines.
