Project Engineer (Electrical / Construction)
Location: Island wide
Working hours: 5.25 days work week, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 6.00pm, ALTERNATE Saturday 9.00am to 1.00pm
Salary (commensurate with experience): Gross salary up to $5,700 (Basic up to $5500 + Mobile Allowance + Transport Allowance) + AWS + Performance Bonus + Labour Day Appreciation + Annual Company Trip

Main Responsibilities:
Support electrical detail engineering work for assigned projects.
Perform electrical load, transformer, MCC sizing and short circuit calculations.
Support transient load studies, motor acceleration and protection relay coordination.
Prepare electrical layouts, material take-off, technical bid evaluation and procurement support.
Monitor project progress claims and subcontractor claims.
Coordinate manpower, machinery, materials and equipment across project sites.
Ensure electrical installation, testing and monitoring works meet project specifications and codes of practice.
Perform quality checks to ensure project deliverables meet customer requirements.
Prepare operation and maintenance manuals upon project completion.
Attend technical, coordination and progress meetings with customers and project teams.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics and technical documents.
Perform HT and LV load calculations and coordinate power requirements with other trades.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Power or related discipline.
Relevant electrical project engineering experience will be advantageous.
Knowledge of electrical load calculation, cable sizing, sub-main cables, sub-boards and distribution boards.
Able to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documents.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
Able to work in a fast-paced built environment and manage project deadlines.
Able to work with customers, subcontractors, site teams and internal stakeholders.
