Position: Shipping Coordinator/Assistant
Location: Jurong Area (Nearest MRT: Lakeside)
Working hours: 5-day work week Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm OR 9.00am – 6.00pm
Salary (commensurate with experience) : Up to $3800 + Variable Bonus + 14 days Annual Leave

Main Responsibilities:
Coordination of all inbound/outbound shipment
Offer customer support by advising on shipments, country rules, and regulations, and follow up until the transaction is complete
Book the consignment (freight / transporters / forwarders) based on the company’s cost and pricing strategy
Organize the booking and operations in accordance with the client’s service sold
Send all necessary information and documentation to clients /agents /sea companies /forwarders etc timely
Send relevant delivery document and files for Sea Import and Air Freight to Branch Manger for invoicing instructions to Accountant Manager
Liaise and maintain good relations with agents and shipping companies.
To mail original sets of client documentation to destination agent and apply for export permit for shipping lines after Bill of Landing is received
To prepare the pre-alert ticking the service instructions
Transfer the Pre-Alert project to the Customer Service Manager for review, then send the approved Pre-Alert to the destination agent or branch.
Immediately inform the Branch Manager of any changes in export or import regulations and estimate their impact on the organization and costs
Follow up the container’s status on a daily base
Collect the agent’s general tracker
Master NSI and office tools
Conduct the suppliers' annual evaluation
Requirements:
Minimum O levels
Minimum one to two year of relevant experience
Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese clients who can converse in Mandarin only
