Responsibilities:
Airfreight Documentation & Operations:
Process full-set air import and export documentation, including Master Air Waybills (MAWB), House Air Waybills (HAWB), pre-alerts, cargo manifests, commercial invoices, and packing lists (prepared by Shippers).
Coordinate daily air import clearances, cargo lodge-in/break-bulk, and timely release/delivery arrangements.
Arrange shipment space bookings with airlines and co-loaders.
Customs Compliance & Regulatory:
Liaise with vendor to prepare and submit Singapore Customs permit declarations.
Coordinate with vendor to ensure strict compliance with Dangerous Goods (DG) declarations and IATA packaging standards.
Stakeholder & Ground Coordination:
Liaise regularly with ground handling agents (SATS, dnata), airlines, transport contractors, and overseas agents to ensure smooth cargo flow.
Track and trace shipment statuses; promptly resolve operational exceptions, cargo delays, or discrepancies (e.g., damaged cargo, short shipments).
Customer Service & Administration:
Act as the point of contact for clients, delivering regular shipment status updates and handling operational queries.
Verify vendor invoices, handle billing/job costing, and ensure job files are accurately closed out in a timely manner.
Requirements:
Diploma or GCE 'N'/'O' Level / NITEC in Supply Chain, Logistics, Maritime Studies, or related fields.
1–3 years of hands-on experience in airfreight forwarding, air import/export operations, or freight agency workflows
Knowledge of airfreight operational processes, HAWB/MAWB rules, and Singapore Customs
Experience operating TradeNet / Cargo Management Systems (CMS) or Freight Management Software (e.g., CargoWise) is an advantage.
Valid IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) certification is a strong advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Good communication skills (written and spoken) to coordinate across agents, carriers, and local
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle dynamic daily deadlines
